After School Algebra Show - Rebroadcast interactive programs for students' grades 9-12. Produced by HISD Math Department. (Monday-Friday 4:00 p.m.)

Algebra On-Line: Integers – Professional Development for teachers displaying algebra classroom best practices. ((Thursday 6:00 p.m.)

America's History in the Making – Teachers explore America's history from the Pre-Columbian era through Reconstruction in Part I, and follow in Part II with the settlement of the west through contemporary times. (Tuesday – Thursday 11:30 p.m.)

Aprendemos Juntos - A discussion of programs of interest to Spanish-speaking parents (Monday 7:00 p.m., Saturday 6:00p.m.)

ASPIRE: Accelerating Student Progress Increasing Results and Expectations. ASPIRE is an educational improvement model providing high-quality and relevant educational experiences resulting in students being college and career ready.

Mr. Band Man – AOM Publishing, in association with the National Institute of Child Development presents educational and entertaining programs inspiring young children to explore the many styles, pleasures and rewards of being involved in music. Art Osborne, better known as “Mr. Bandman” is an award winning published Author, Composer and an Educator living in Dallas, Texas (Saturday 8:30 a.m.)

Colonial Williamsburg:

  • Rebroadcast of electronic field trips exploring our early American heritage. Watch as they rediscover the secrets of the 18th century builders

Differentiated Compensation Symposium:

  • The Big Picture – This program will review the national context of strategic compensation and why Texas invests in these programs. (Monday 9:00 a.m., Sunday 10:00 a.m., Thursday 1:00 p.m.

Jump Start to Success – (Monday 7:30 p.m.)

Kennedy Center for Theater Arts – Performance and discussion centered on the arts and the classics. Featuring Charles Stroud, Ballet Folklorico & “Waiting on Go Dot”, “Imani Winds', Turtle Beach Quartet' - (Sunday 9:00 p.m., Tuesday 3:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday 9:00 p.m.)

Kid-telligence – Local children's theater actress Luisa Amaral Smith hosts a children's show using a variety of segments to educate and entertain children ages 5-11. The Show is in English and Spanish with various segments including a bilingual segment. This exciting new program “Kidtelligence” is produced by Instructional Media Services with the assistance of the Office of School Services, and “Sidekick”, a life-sized puppet by Greg Rhue. (Friday – Saturday 5:30 p.m.)

My Math PlusA national distance learning program. It represents a collaborative between the Division of Migrant Education of the Texas Education Agency and its receiving states, to increase the educational opportunities for students utilizing interactive distance learning technology.

NASA Education Hour – A variety of shows including daily launches and educational studies (Saturday 3:00 p.m. & 5:30 p.m.)

Positively Parents – - Produced by the HISD Department of Parent Engagement, the series is designed to strengthen the relationship between parents and the schools. Marybelle Perez will acquaint parents with the various avenues of involvement available throughout the year. (Wednesday 10:30 a.m., Tuesday 8:00 p.m., and Sunday 12:30 p.m.)

Reach Out to Drop Outs – (Wednesday 6:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 p.m.)

Social Studies in Action: Led by social studies educator Mary A McFarland, the onscreen participants reflect on fundament issues in teaching and learning social studies through discussions, debates, and

Activities that can be adapted to K-5 curriculum.

Values, Valor & Sacrifice – One-on-one conversations with members of our "Greatest Generation", whose ranks are thinning and whose sacrifices become more valuable with time. Today's youth sincerely needs and deserves their perspective. (Friday 12:30 p.m.)

Viet Voice – News, information and community public affairs to the Vietnamese speaking constituency of Houston ISD. (Monday 11:00, Monday 12:30 p.m., Friday 6:00 p.m.)

Write in the Middle – These programs demonstrates effective practices and strategies to use with middle school students in writing instruction. Through classroom footage of excellent teachers and interviews with teachers, students, and national experts about the writing process, workshop participants learn ways to create a positive and productive writing environment for young adolescents. An Interactive Web site includes audio interviews with national writing experts, as well as a rubric to evaluate student writing. Produced by Kentucky Educational Television Foundation, 2004. Youth Take Action with Assets – This program focuses on the philosophy that children need to 40 developmental assets to enjoy a healthy and productive life. Texas Partner in Education board member Pat Rosenberg interviews Search Institute Vice President, Gene Rohlke pertain about current research. She also visits with community members about the importance of the development.(Thursday 5:30 p.m., Monday 11:30 p.m.)
