Entertainment

Houston’s teen rapper Baby Jay is creating a new movement in the hip-hop/rap industry by making a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of youth throughout the country. He has been performing professionally since the age of 13 and just a few of the accolades he has received in that time include a special certificate of recognition from Congress and a World Peace Award from legendary folk musician Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul and Mary). He is also the first and youngest rapper to receive a key to the City of Houston, and he was officially inducted into the Latin Grammys tour bus exhibit. His debut CD, "Keepin It Real," released in 2007, is filled with inspirational songs about non-violence, avoiding teen pregnancy, saying no to drugs, staying in school, maintaining healthy relationships, and the first-ever anti-bullying rap song, "Don’t Laugh at Me."

Baby Jay

Baby Jay has opened up for acts like Raven Symone from the TV show, "That’s So Raven," B5, Omarion, Coolio, Young MC, Soulja Boy, and Twista. He continues to perform and make special appearances and plans to release his much-anticipated sophomore CD in 2012.
