ASPIRE/Value-Added Training

HISD has developed ASPIRE (which stands for Accelerating Student Progress Increasing Results and Expectations) as a framework for consolidating academic improvement efforts throughout the organization. There are four core components of the ASPIRE model: developing human capital; improving teaching and learning; informing practice; and recognizing excellence. EVAAS (Educational Value Added Assessment System) is the cornerstone of the informing practice component and is also used to measure and communicate our district’s focus on student achievement.

Listed below are a number of different avenues the Central Region is following to ensure that all community members have an opportunity to learn more about value-added analysis and how it fits with HISD's ASPIRE framework.
