Connecting to the Network Version of Acces
For computers running Windows XP

Step 1
Find your My Network Places icon on your desktop

Right-click the My Network Places icon and select Map Network Drive...

Select G: for the Drive letter from the pull-down menu

Type in the network address of your Apps share

You will need to type in \\xxx-rs01\apps where xxx is the name of your school. Some names are abbreviated so you may have to ask your technologist the name of your school's server. (If your technologist does not know the name of your school's server you can e-mail the West Region for assistance.) Make sure the Reconnect at logon checkbox is checked as in the example below.

If you have done everything correctly, a window will open in which you should see a folder labeled Acces. Double-click to open the Acces folder.

Find the shortcut labeled Shortcut to ACCWIN.EXE

Right-click the shortcut and select Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)

That's it! From now on you simply need to go to your desktop and double-click the Shortcut to ACCWIN.EXE icon.
