What's New

Elementary Science Training *new - The Power Up training for Elementary Science scheduled for July 29-30 will be held at the Hattie Mae White Building.

Room Assignments - Room assignments have been added to the Power Up Training Schedule below.

Registration and Breakfast - Be sure to arrive early enough to sign in and enjoy breakfast. Registration and breakfast is between 7:15 and 8:00 a.m. in the auditorium.

e-TRAIN Registration - Teachers will be entered in e-TRAIN based on the information submitted by the principal through the registration form. Participants will receive confirmation via e-TRAIN e-mail within the next two weeks.

Confirmation - Teachers should contact the campus principal to confirm participation and registration status before submitting a registration form or contacting Professional Development Services (PDS).

Power Up Training Focus
The Power Up Curriculum Summer Institute will focus on building a deeper understanding of HISD objectives, specifically the Power Objectives, and their importance in the planning for instruction and assessments. Principals will use the Power Up registration form to register teachers who have been selected and have agreed to attend the training. Refer to the memorandum (dated April 21, 2008) to review the expectations for sharing information from the training with faculty and staff during the 2008-2009 school year.
