| Summer Training—Curriculum
implementation and module delivery training for HU-LINC Cohort I science lead teachers,
Project CLEAR science lead teachers, and Say Yes core teachers. SECME
and GCTAME—These
two science programs have agreed to pool their resources to increase the number of
minority students interested in pursuing careers in science, mathematics, engineering, and
technology.
Science
Fair—Each year the annual Science Fair generates tremendous
participation by the district's students.
The Marcile Hollingsworth Science Center
(formally the Living Resource Center) - The Living Resource Center supplies
live specimens to teachers in grades K-12 for hands-on, laboratory instruction. This year
LRC staff members provided teacher inservices for Project CLEAR, HU-LINC, and schoolyard
pond habitats. |
